I was IMed today with some interesting news:
the head crony: hey Cyrus, would you be interested in taking a permanent shift with me this quarter?
the head crony: I'll be graduating at the end of the quarter, so I'd like to end my RITA career on a positive note w\ someone who isn't an immature asshole (I know you know your share of those).
the head crony: I'll be getting an associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, after which I'll be going back home and taking the paramedic program there, while applying to a few FD's there
keeper1616: oh thats cool
the head crony: yeah, It's a pay cut, but I'll be doing what I love and what I devote most of my time to anyway.

It's funny he thinks so highly of you to say that you're not an immature asshole...I think just about all of us are to some degree...especially with regards to him.
